Add operations/cat endpoint to the Remote Control (RC) API to allow reading
and streaming file contents in-process over librclone / FFI and HTTP RC.
Supports range options (offset, count, head, tail), separator, optional maxSize
buffer limit, and returns both string and base64 encoded results.
TestRcDu relied on the default cache directory already existing. In clean
or container environments diskusage.New returned ENOENT, which the test
ignored before type asserting a nil result.
Use a temporary directory and require a successful response before
checking the disk usage values.
This commit modernizes Go usage. This was done with:
go run golang.org/x/tools/gopls/internal/analysis/modernize/cmd/modernize@latest -fix -test ./...
Then files needed to be `go fmt`ed and a few comments needed to be
restored.
The modernizations include replacing
- if/else conditional assignment by a call to the built-in min or max functions added in go1.21
- sort.Slice(x, func(i, j int) bool) { return s[i] < s[j] } by a call to slices.Sort(s), added in go1.21
- interface{} by the 'any' type added in go1.18
- append([]T(nil), s...) by slices.Clone(s) or slices.Concat(s), added in go1.21
- loop around an m[k]=v map update by a call to one of the Collect, Copy, Clone, or Insert functions from the maps package, added in go1.21
- []byte(fmt.Sprintf...) by fmt.Appendf(nil, ...), added in go1.19
- append(s[:i], s[i+1]...) by slices.Delete(s, i, i+1), added in go1.21
- a 3-clause for i := 0; i < n; i++ {} loop by for i := range n {}, added in go1.22
A consequence of this is that fs.Directory returned by the local
backend will now have a correct size in (rather than -1). Some tests
depended on this and have been fixed by this commit too.
Previously only the fs being checked on gets passed to
GetModifyWindow(). However, in most tests, the test files are
generated in the local fs and transferred to the remote fs. So the
local fs time precision has to be taken into account.
This meant that on Windows the time tests failed because the
local fs has a time precision of 100ns. Checking remote items uploaded
from local fs on Windows also requires a modify window of 100ns.
Before this change when the context was cancelled (due to
--max-duration for example) this could deadlock when uploading
multipart uploads.
This change fixes the problem by introducing another go routine to
monitor the context and close the pipe with an error when the context
errors.
This adds expire and unlink fields to the PublicLink interface.
This fixes up the affected backends and removes unlink parameters
where they are present.
- Change rclone/fs interfaces to accept context.Context
- Update interface implementations to use context.Context
- Change top level usage to propagate context to lover level functions
Context propagation is needed for stopping transfers and passing other
request-scoped values.
