Google now requires an app homepage URL and privacy policy URL to be
set on the OAuth consent screen's "Branding" page before the "PUBLISH
APP" button becomes clickable, even for a personal single-user app.
The existing instructions jumped straight to publishing in step 9
without mentioning this, leaving the button greyed out with no
explanation of why.
Fixes#9854
A folder shortcut pointing at one of its own ancestor folders (for
example a shortcut to FolderX placed inside FolderX) made rclone recurse
forever when dereferencing shortcuts, duplicating the folder contents
until the disk was full.
Rclone now detects when a folder shortcut targets an ancestor directory
using the directory cache, leaves that shortcut out of the listing and
logs an ERROR, so the rest of the drive can still be copied.

rclone's shared Google Drive and Google Photos client_id is being
retired and will stop working during 2026. When creating a new remote
that would use it, the config wizard now warns the user and asks the
user to enter their own client_id and secret instead. Service account
and environment auth are unaffected as they don't use the shared
client_id.

Added information about an alternative, easier way to access folders inside
"Computers" using rclone. Expanded details about folder behavior in "Computers".
The "Import/Export of google documents" section in drive.md and the
"--b2-versions" examples section in b2.md were both at H4 instead of H3,
which excluded them from the ToC even though they are top-level topics
in their respective sections.
The previous wording "Already have a token - refresh?" was misleading
because answering yes triggers a full re-authorization flow, not an
OAuth2 refresh token grant. Updated to "Token already configured -
replace it?" to accurately describe what happens.
Also updated the SugarSync backend which has its own copy of the prompt,
and the docs for box, drive, and onedrive that reference it.

Replace custom rem hugo shortcode template with HTML comment. HTML comments are now
allowed in Hugo without enabling unsafe HTML parsing.
Improve the text in the comment: Remove unnecessary quoting, and avoid impression that
make backenddocs has to be run and results committed, since we have a lint check which
will then report error because we want to prevent manual changes in autogenerated sections.
Disable the markdownlint rule line-length on the autogenerated marker line.
Make the autogenerated marker detection a bit more robust.
See #8942 for more details.
Help people handle an issue which might be difficult to understand
otherwise.
If you have recursive shortcuts (pointing to a parent folder) in a
google drive, rclone is doing infinite recursion, never ending and
filling the disk. Even if you ask not to get shortcuts content.
* Updates OAuth consent screen instructions to include adding scopes for backup purposes (create, edit and delete files).
* Updates instructions to keep app in testing mode (appropriate for most users). The previous instructions suggested this, but we don't need to "publish" the app at all in order to proceed with this step.
The config question "Use auto config?" confused many users and lead to
recurring forum posts from users that were unaware that they were using
a remote or headless machine.
This commit makes the question and possible options more descriptive
and precise.
This commit also adds references to the guide on remote setup in the
documentation of backends using oauth as primary authentication.
